Abstract

Abstract

The number of students at Al Ma'ruf Islamic Boarding School is 110 male and female students. With the number of female students 75 and male students 35. There are 15 female students and 10 male students whose way of reading the Qur'an is not in accordance with Tajweed Science, this is because there are new graduate students who come from (SD/MI, SMP/MTs) who have different educational backgrounds. In addition, it is also due to the lack of support from parents, the limitations of the students' own thinking power. In this study, the researcher focuses on the problems, a. How is the application of the Syifaul Janan Book to improve the ability to read the Qur'an? and b. How does the ability to read the Qur'an improve after using the Syifaul Janan Book? To solve the above problems, the researcher uses the Qualitative Research method. IPD (Data Collection Instrument) of this study uses observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Based on the research results, it is clear that in implementing the Syifaul Janan Book, students use three methods: lecture, drill, and practice. These methods facilitate students' understanding of Tajweed. After implementing the Syifaul Janan Book, their ability to recite the Quran also improved, becoming more fluent and eloquent after studying Tajweed using references from the Syifaul Janan Book.
