Abstract

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya masa usia dini sebagai periode emas dalam perkembangan anak, khususnya dalam penguatan kemampuan kognitif melalui pengalaman belajar yang bermakna. Salah satu bentuk stimulasi potensial adalah pembelajaran seni tari tradisional sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis budaya lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengaruh pembelajaran seni tari tradisional terhadap perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini di KB Nurul Faqih Cirebon. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan dokumentasi kegiatan pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian meliputi anak kelompok A dan B di KB Nurul Faqih Cirebon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran seni tari tradisional berdampak positif terhadap perkembangan kognitif anak, terutama meningkatkan kemampuan mengingat, memusatkan perhatian, serta menyusun urutan gerak dan kegiatan logis. Anak lebih fokus mengikuti pembelajaran, mampu mengingat pola gerak lebih baik, serta meningkat dalam mengorganisasi aktivitas berurutan. Selain itu, pembelajaran seni tari tradisional menumbuhkan minat belajar melalui suasana menyenangkan, kreatif, bermakna, sekaligus mengenalkan budaya lokal secara edukatif.

Kata kunci: Anak usia dini, seni tari tradisional, perkembangan kognitif, pembelajaran berbasis budaya.

ABSTRACT
This study is motivated by the importance of early childhood as a golden period in children’s development, particularly in strengthening cognitive abilities through meaningful learning experiences. One potential form of stimulation is traditional dance learning as a culturally based instructional medium. This study aims to describe the influence of traditional dance learning on the cognitive development of early childhood learners at KB Nurul Faqih Cirebon. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation and documentation of learning activities. The research subjects consisted of children from groups A and B at KB Nurul Faqih Cirebon. The results indicate that traditional dance learning has a positive impact on children’s cognitive development, especially in improving memory, attention, and the ability to organize movement sequences and activities logically. Children became more focused during learning, were better able to remember movement patterns, and showed improvement in organizing activities in sequence. In addition, traditional dance learning fosters learning interest through enjoyable, creative, and meaningful learning environments, while simultaneously introducing local culture in an educational manner.
