UPAYA GURU AKIDAH AKHLAK DALAM MENINGKATKAN AKHLAKUL KARIMAH SISWA KELAS VII DI MTS MAMBA’UL ULUM JAMBEREJO TAHUN PELAJARAN 2023/2024

Abstract

Islamic education aims to increase students’ faith, understanding and practice so that they become Muslims who believe in and are devoted to Allah SWT and have noble character. This challenge is close to the role of the Aqidah Akhlak teacher. Seeing the situation at MTs Mambaul Ulum, where there are still some students who do not reflect noble morals, the author was encouraged to conduct research on the Efforts of Aqidah Akhlak Teachers in Improving the Akhlakul Karimah of Class VII Students at Mts Mamba’ul Ulum Jamberejo for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The aim of this research was to find out what Aqidah Akhlak teachers use to improve students’ noble morals, and to look for supporting factors and obstacles that influence. The author used a qualitative approach with three instruments, namely; observation, interviews, and documentation. The results could be drawn that the Aqidah Akhlak teachers at MTs Mambaul Ulum had made efforts to improve students’ noble morals by providing advice, direct role models, implementing habits, and also providing rules complete with the penalty. Furthermore, several threads were also found such as; parents’ lack of attention to students’ behavior when they are at home, and the bad content that students see on cellphones, TV and social media. However, Aqidah Akhlak teachers and schools had made efforts to overcome the threads, by holding regular meetings with student parents and the community.
